
About Richard Timberlake
Richard H. Timberlake, Jr. is emeritus professor of economics at the University of Georgia who sits on the Center for Monetary and Financial Alternatives' Board of Academic Advisors. He is an expert on the Federal Reserve, monetary policy, and the history of central banking. He is the author of Monetary Policy in the United States: An Intellectual and Institutional History (University of Chicago Press, 1993) and Constitutional Money: A Review of the Supreme Court's Monetary Decisions (Cambridge University Press, 2013). He received his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago in 1959.
